Import your files
A verified copy with a new link, not a live mirror
Imports make a verified copy that lives here. Your source stays untouched, and old links aren't redirected or rewritten.
How it works
Bring files over from where they live today. Each file is copied, verified and checked like any upload, then gets its own new link.
- 1
Inspect
Sharer lists what's in the source: names, sizes and anything it can't import. Nothing is copied yet.
- 2
Review
Check the dry run: what will be imported, what's skipped and why, duplicates and name clashes, and whether it fits your storage.
- 3
Copy
After you confirm, each file is copied, verified and checked like any upload, then gets its own new link.
Setting up takes a few minutes. Inspecting and copying run in the background; their time depends on how many files and how much data the source holds, and you can leave the page meanwhile.
Supported sources
S3 or R2 bucket
Up to 1,000,000 files per import.
- Read and list access only; your provider may bill GET, LIST and egress.
- Multipart ETags are not whole-file hashes; every copy is hashed again here.
- Bucket ACLs and object permissions are not carried over.
- Archived storage classes must be restored first.
HTTPS link or manifest
Up to 100,000 files per import.
- Direct file links only: web pages, captchas, paywalls and cookie walls are not followed.
- Links you are allowed to copy; signed links must stay valid until the copy finishes.
- Files without a strong ETag or SHA-256 are copied whole in one attempt.
Local helper
Up to 1,000,000 files per import.
- Runs on your computer with a short-lived, upload-only key for one import.
- Every file is hashed locally and verified again after upload.
Gofile
Up to 100,000 files per import.
- Needs the API token of a Gofile premium account: Gofile only allows API listing and downloads on premium.
- Folder links, including subfolders. Password-protected folders aren't supported.
- Every copy is checked against Gofile's MD5 and hashed again here.
Pixeldrain
Up to 100,000 files per import.
- File (/u/), list (/l/) and filesystem (/d/) links.
- Needs your API key. Without premium on your side or the uploader's, Pixeldrain may ask for a captcha and the file can't be copied.
- Every copy is checked against Pixeldrain's SHA-256.
1fichier
Up to 100,000 files per import.
- Needs the API key of a 1fichier premium account: download links from the API are for customers only.
- File links and public folder links. Password-protected files aren't supported.
- 1fichier allows about 3 requests a second, so large folders inspect slowly. Files are checked by exact size and hashed here.
Coming after pilots
These hosts can't be imported directly yet. Export a manifest of direct links, or download the files and use the local helper.

Manifests
A manifest is a CSV or JSON file listing direct links, one file per row. Host it at an https:// link and paste that link. Only
url is required. path sets where the file goes inside the import folder; size (bytes) and sha256 let the copy be checked against what you expect.manifest.csv
url,path,size,sha256
https://files.example.com/packs/terrain.zip,packs/terrain.zip,52428800,
https://files.example.com/readme.pdf,docs/readme.pdf,,manifest.json
{
"version": 1,
"items": [
{ "url": "https://files.example.com/packs/terrain.zip", "path": "packs/terrain.zip", "size": 52428800 },
{ "url": "https://files.example.com/readme.pdf", "path": "docs/readme.pdf" }
]
}- Formats: csv manifest, json manifest, single file. The format is detected from the link's extension and can be changed before you start.
- Up to 100,000 rows and 67.1 MB per manifest; paths up to 1,024 characters.
- Signed links must stay valid until the copy finishes. Links that need a header can use the optional Authorization field.
Local helper
For files on your computer, or sources that can't be imported directly: choose Local helper on the import page to get a one-time key and the command to run.
- It needs Node.js 24 and the single file
sharer-migrate.mjs. Ask support for the helper while it's in pilot. - Replace
<folder>with the folder to import. The helper only reads that folder and lists each file with its size and modified time. - The key can only upload into this one import and expires after 12 hours. Passing it with --token works too.
- Nothing is copied until you review the list and start the import here in the browser.
- Files are hashed while they upload and verified again on our side. If the helper stops, run the same command again to resume.
Good to know
- Your source is only read. Nothing there is changed, moved or deleted.
- Web pages, captchas, paywalls and cookie walls aren't followed. Only direct file links and supported file-host links are copied.
- Sharing settings and permissions from the source aren't carried over.
- Old links aren't redirected and websites aren't rewritten. Update your links from the results report.
- Imported files follow the same retention as uploads.
- Your storage provider may bill you for reads, listings and data transfer while files are copied.
- The import has to fit in your workspace's storage. The review shows this before anything is copied.
- The results report is a CSV with one row per file: source, destination path, state, reason, size bytes, sha256, new url.
